Fourth Day
Your weekend was the third day. The "Fourth Day" is everything after, how you live out what you experienced, one week at a time, in the company of a small group who will walk with you.
Reunion Groups & Accountability
During your weekend, you probably heard the term Reunion Group, sometimes called a Fourth Day group or an accountability group. These small groups exist to:
- Bring two or more people together in God, and for God
- Carry the elements of the weekend forward into everyday life
You actually modeled a reunion group all weekend long, right at your table, someone led the discussion, you shared honestly about your lives, challenged and supported one another, prayed together, and shared a meal together. A Fourth Day group is that same rhythm, kept up week after week.
Order of the Reunion Group
If your group is looking for a format to follow, here's a starting point, the same shape guests learn on their weekend:
- Open with a prayer to the Holy Spirit
- Talk about worship, how you've worshiped in the past week
- Reflect and share about a moment you felt closest to Christ this week
- Discuss what and how you've studied God's word
- Share how you've shared the Good News this week
- Talk about how you've been God's hands and feet this week
- Be honest about any missed opportunities to share Christ with others
- Plan how you'll worship, study, and take action in the coming week
- Share your prayer needs and requests, and pray for one another
- Close together with the Lord's Prayer
