About Us

South Central Indiana Great Banquet is a new Fourth Day community of Christian men and women from churches across our area. As part of the Great Banquet movement, in partnership with Lampstand Ministries, we share one desire: to help people grow closer to Jesus Christ and to walk alongside them in Christian community. Whatever church you call home, you are welcome here.

Below you'll find our Mission Statement and Statement of Faith, which guide everything we do.

Our Mission

South Central Indiana Great Banquet exists to lead men and women into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through Great Banquet weekends, and to walk alongside them in Christian community for the rest of their journey. Grounded in Scripture and led by the Holy Spirit, we seek to proclaim God's name, share His love and grace, and hold to biblical truth in all we do. We are a community of servants, welcoming every guest with open arms and equipping each other to carry Christ's love home to our families, churches, and neighborhoods.

Statement of Faith

The Infallibility and Nature of God

We believe in the one true, holy, sovereign, and infallible God, eternally self-existent, all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfect in all His attributes, ways, and works. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Ruler of all things.

The Holy Trinity

We believe that God eternally exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully, equally, and eternally God, unified in essence, character, purpose, and glory.

The Authority and Infallibility of Scripture

We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the sixty-six books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. As the complete and final divine revelation, Scripture stands as the supreme, unalterable authority in all matters of faith, doctrine, truth, and Christian living.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the full deity and true humanity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His recorded miracles, His vicarious and substitutionary death on the cross through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection from the grave, His ascension to the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate, and His personal, visible, and triumphant return in power and glory.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates, indwells, seals, sanctifies, guides, and empowers every believer from the moment of salvation for spiritual growth, godly conduct, and active Christian ministry.

Humanity, Fall, and Salvation by Grace

We believe that humanity was created in the image and likeness of God, but fell into sin through disobedience, incurring both physical and spiritual death. Fallen humanity is spiritually lost and completely incapable of self-justification or self-redemption. Salvation is a free gift of God's grace alone, received solely through personal repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, whose atoning sacrifice provides the only ground for justification, forgiveness, and reconciliation with God.

Holy Matrimony and Marriage

We believe that marriage is an institution established and ordained solely by God at the creation of man and woman, joining one biological man and one biological woman in an exclusive, covenantal, and lifelong union. This union reflects the image of Christ and His Bride, the Church.

The Sacraments / Ordinances

We recognize Christian Baptism and the Lord's Supper (Holy Communion) as visible signs and means of grace instituted by Jesus Christ. In the ecumenical spirit of the 4th Day movement, the Lord's Supper is central to Christian fellowship, serving as a continuous remembrance of Christ's sacrifice and a proclamation of Christian unity.

Resurrection, Judgment, and Eternity

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. Those justified through faith in Jesus Christ will be raised to eternal life, joy, and fellowship with God in heaven; those who reject Christ will be raised to final judgment and eternal separation from God.

The Mission of the Church

We believe that all Christians are called into one ecumenical Body under the lordship of Jesus Christ. As members of His Body, believers are commissioned to preserve biblical unity, serve their local churches, and fulfill the Great Banquet mandate: To know Jesus as Savior and Lord and to make Him known.
